Lviv Insulator Company.Ltd was founded in 1965.
The plant produces suspension and pin glass insulators having varying shapes and electromechanical strength from 40 to 400 kN. Some typical uses for the insulators are:
-
insulation and fixing the overhead power lines;
-
power station and substation distribution devices for direct and alternating current and for frequencies up to 1000 Hz.
-
electrification of railways.
Glass insulators can be used in the harshest and most hostile environments operating successfully in extremes of temperature (-60 C to +50 C), climate, humidity and conditions of pollution.
During 40 years here have been produced more than 260 millions of insulators. They are successfully used on the electric transmission lines from 0,4 kV to 1150 kV in more than 30 countries of the world. This is an indisputable proof of their high quality and reliability.
Permanent acceptance tests of each parcel are carrying out in Company’s laboratory, attested by Ukrainian State Standard Committee. The sample tests, routine tests and type tests are carrying out in laboratories of Scientific-Research Institute for High Voltages (t. Sloviansk), which is ISO-certified for carrying out of such tests.
The Company pays the big attention to certification of its production in institutes and independent laboratories in Ukraine, the CIS, and also in the international certification centers. Production of glass insulators for electric transmission lines is in accordance with the International Standards.
